Hi, I’m Arun Principal Dentist at Dentistry on Parkside. My wife AIar and I bought the practice from Michael and Mary Jo Holdaway in 2019.
My family and I moved to New Zealand, and made Ashburton home. I am very passionate about dentistry and have dedicated many hours attending courses to improve my skills in all aspects of dentistry. My interests are with Surgical and General Dentistry but I have a special interest in Wisdom teeth removal, Implants and aligners. I keep my patients well-being at the focus of my goal and ensure they get the best value and experience that I can offer them.
I graduated in 2007 and after having nearly 4 years of working experience in India I moved to New Zealand and completed the Overseas Trained Dental Exam programme at Otago Dental School becoming registered with the New Zealand Dental Council. I have been a member of the New Zealand Sedation Society since 2014. . In 2016 I completed the Dental Laser Safety Officer course in Sydney. In 2018 I was endowed with a Fellowship in General Dentistry from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons which has been a 4 year process with rigorous examinations. I am a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and member of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
I am currently doing POS (Progressive Orthodontic Seminars) along with Clear aligners.
I am married to Alar and have 3 children. We are loving the relaxed lifestyle in Ashburton and enjoy keeping fit, playing cricket and skiing in Winter.
