New Patients
Dentistry on Parkside prides itself on providing the Ashburton community all of your dentistry requirements locally without having to travel, focusing on the best possible treatment and your comfort. From the moment you come into our relaxed modern practice, you will be welcomed by one of our friendly Receptionist who will assist you with making an appointment and answering any of your questions.
Our practice is open 6 days a week and 3 evenings to try and accommodate the needs of our community.
Our current hours are:
Monday 8.00am – 7.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am – 7.00pm
Wednesday 8.00am – 5.00pm
Thursday 8.00am – 7.00pm
Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday 8.30am – 1.00pm
We recommend that every new patient we see books a new patient exam with our Dentists. In this 40 minute appointment, the Dentist will do a full mouth exam and take 2 small x-rays to diagnose decay and a full mouth OPG x-ray to see all the teeth and jaw. Any future treatment will be discussed at this appointment and a treatment plan will be given to the patient. The Dentist will recommend that you see one of our University trained Oral Health Therapist for a full mouth clean.
Our Dentists Arun Velusamy (Principal), Michael Holdaway, and Phodiso Magbagbeola work closely with our Registered Dental Hygienist/Therapist’s and Joanne Lee , Gery Zhang we offer a comprehensive range of dental treatment options, including porcelain veneers, teeth crowns, implants, bridges, general dentistry, IV Sedation, teeth whitening. We are also contracted with the Ministry for free Dental Care for Adolescents between the ages of Year 9 and 18. In order to provide you with the very best in dentistry, we also are specialists in the treatment of gum disease and bad breath.
Dr Arun Velusamy is the owner and principal at Dentistry on Parkside. Arun has taken over the practice from Michael Holdaway and is following his ideals of keeping up with modern technology and providing our patients with the best-specialised services and dental equipment there are available. We keep tracking of all surgical instruments and pride ourselves on maintaining a high standard of Infection Control.
